Apr 29, 2017 · I have a 2006 Hyundai sonata, and previously ran into a problem where the last owner spilt soda onto the shifter and the soda corroded the wires. So after re doing the wiring and plugging back in the wiring harness I noticed I couldn't shift out of park without the shift lock release being pushed.
